Because of the excellent results we obtain with our patients and our ongoing commitment to education and quality care, many of the top doctors and surgeons in Southern California refer their patients to Hand Rehabilitation Specialists.

Our History
Ann England, OTR, establishes one of the first private practice hand therapy clinics in California. The American Society of Hand Therapists is also founded this year.
The Hand Therapy Certification Test is established . Ann , Laurie, Heidi and Eileen gain the designation CHT.
Heidi Bowers-Dutra , OTR/L, CHT joins the practice as clinical supervisor of the Thousand Oaks office. She passed the inaugural CHT exam in 1991.
Eileen Seiberlich, OTR/L, CHT joins the practice. She passed the inaugural CHT exam in 1991.
Ann sadly loses her fight to cancer, leaving Laurie and Heidi as the new owners of the Thousand Oaks Office.
Heidi and Laurie open a satellite in Simi Valley . Eileen Seiberlich, OTR/L, CHT becomes the clinical supervisor.
Adrienne Hofman, PT, MSPT, CHT joins HRS and passes the CHT exam in 2016.
Shanna Lucero, MS OTR/L joins the practice She passed the inaugural CHT exam in 2020.
